Build the foundations
Move each suit from ace to king without sending useful cards up too early.
Build upward by suit
Each foundation begins with an ace. Add the two of the same suit, then the three, continuing in order through the king.
A foundation card does not accept an alternating color or a skipped rank. The sequence must stay in one suit without gaps.
Move safe low cards first
Aces and twos are usually safe to move up immediately because they rarely help build the tableau. Higher cards can still be needed to hold an opposite-color card below them.
Before moving a higher card, check whether removing it will block a useful tableau sequence.
Keep the suits balanced
Advancing one color far ahead can remove the cards needed to arrange the other color. Build foundations steadily while keeping enough tableau structure to reveal hidden cards.
