Move cards and fill empty columns

Any face-up tableau card can be the start of a move. If cards beneath it already descend in alternating colors, they travel with it as one run.

The first card of that run must still fit the destination: one rank lower and the opposite color.

When a move leaves a face-down card at the top of a tableau column, turn it over. There is no advantage to leaving available information hidden.

Only a king or a correctly ordered run beginning with a king may move into an empty tableau column. An empty column is valuable because it can relocate a long king-led run and uncover more cards.

Do not empty a column without checking which king can use it and what that move will reveal.
