Understand whose turn it is
Groups and turns
Learn when solids or stripes become yours and why a turn continues or passes.
The table starts open
After the break, solids and stripes are not assigned yet. The first legal group ball pocketed on the open table decides the groups: that group becomes yours and the other group becomes your opponent's.
A ball made on the break does not assign a group in GameCamp. Look for the Open Table status before choosing your next target.
A legal pot keeps your turn
Pocket one of your legal target balls without a foul and you shoot again. This is why a player can take several shots in a row.
Once groups are assigned, pocketing the other group's ball does not let you continue. Your own legal group must be contacted first and pocketed legally.
A legal miss passes the turn
You can make a fully legal shot without pocketing a ball. If you contact a legal target first and a ball reaches a cushion afterward, play simply passes to your opponent.
That is different from a foul: the opponent gets the next turn, but not Ball in Hand.
